John Gibson

John Gibson has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. John is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Electrovaya since June 2022. Prior to that, they held the same position at Arya Health from January 2019. John also worked as the VP of Finance at Adlib from November 2021 to June 2022. Before that, they were the Corporate Controller/VP at From the Hearth, LLC from December 2016 to October 2021, and the Controller at Arts & Science Brewing Ltd from May 2015 to December 2016.

Earlier in their career, John worked at SPX Clyde Union Pumps Canada, where they served as the Controller/Finance Lead for Canada from February 2014 to May 2015, and as a Senior Financial Analyst/Assistant Controller from March 2011 to February 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Audit Executive at EY from October 2007 to March 2011, and as an ICAS Trainee at McLay, McAllister & McGibbon LLP from September 2004 to September 2007.

John Gibson earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Strathclyde, which they attended from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Information Technology and Business at the University of Glasgow from 2002 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained the Chartered Accountant designation from ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs, where they studied from 2004 to 2007.
