Effie Markopoulos

Effie Markopoulos currently serves as the Group Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary at Asahi Beverages, a role held since February 2019, following a progression through various senior legal positions within the company. Prior experience includes serving as the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Asahi Beverages, as well as Assistant General Counsel roles at both Asahi Holdings Australia and Schweppes Australia. Earlier in the career, Effie worked as Senior Counsel at Kraft Foods and held multiple positions at Cadbury and Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Effie holds a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and a combined Arts/Law (Honours) degree, both obtained from the University of Melbourne.
