Varun Agarwal

Varun Agarwal is a seasoned supply chain and procurement professional currently serving as the Regional Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Procurement at Asahi Europe & International since February 2018. With extensive experience managing high-performing teams, Varun oversees a significant spend of over €700 million across more than 4,500 suppliers, focusing on categories such as MRO, utilities, and logistics. A proven leader, Varun has initiated numerous disruptive projects that drive cost savings and sustainability within the organization. Prior to Asahi, Varun co-founded a mental well-being platform and held various roles at Danone, where notable achievements included digital transformation and global category strategy development. Varun's early career includes operational roles at Shell Shipping, where strong leadership and risk management skills were demonstrated. Varun holds an MBA in International General Management from Rotterdam School of Management and a Bachelor's in Nautical Sciences from T.S. Chanakya, University of Mumbai.
