Leon Ong'onge

Leon Ong'onge has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Leon started their career as a Multilateral Affairs Intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Kenya in 2012. In 2013, they worked as an Editorial Intern at AllAfrica Global Media, followed by a Trade Research Intern position at IDEAS Centre. Leon then joined the Institute of Economic Affairs Kenya as a Trade Economist from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Leon moved to Lion's Head Global Partners, where they held multiple roles. Leon started as an Analyst from November 2015 to June 2016, then became an Associate from June 2016 to September 2018. Finally, they served as a Director from September 2018 to August 2021.

Currently, Leon is working at Asante Financial Services Group as a Corporate Finance Manager, starting from January 2023.

Leon Ong'onge attended Colgate University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations. In 2013, they also participated in a semester abroad program at the Geneva Graduate Institute, focusing on International Relations and Affairs. During the same year, they also studied French Studies at Université catholique de l'Ouest as part of another semester abroad program.
