Michael Donkor

Michael Donkor is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the mining and processing sectors. Currently serving as the Unit Manager – Mechanical at Asante Gold since November 2023, Michael is responsible for developing safety management plans and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Prior to this, a long tenure at GOLD FIELDS from September 2007 to July 2024 included roles ranging from Senior Mechanical Engineer to Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing various engineering and safety operations, team leadership, and project management. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a Mechanical Engineering Technician diploma, and a postgraduate degree in Operations Management from the University of Melbourne.
