George Fearns

George Fearns is a seasoned professional in animation and design, currently serving as Senior Manager for Animation & Design at Ascend Learning since January 2020. In this role, George oversees the Animation and Design Departments, managing a team of 7 direct reports and 5 contractors across all Ascend brands. Prior to this, George spent a decade at Kognito, where responsibilities included managing the Animation and Design Department and demonstrating production pipelines to investors that contributed to acquisitions and funding. George's extensive experience spans various freelance positions and internships, with notable roles including Lead Virtual Environments Designer and Animator for multiple organizations. George holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Traditional Animation and History of Art and Design from Pratt Institute and is currently pursuing ongoing education in 3D Environment Arts through the Computer Graphics Master Academy.
