Bareq Alobaidi

Bareq Alobaidi is an experienced professional in process control and engineering, currently serving as the Process Control Director at Ascend Performance Materials since May 2019, with previous roles including Sr Manager IT/OT Manufacturing, Technology and Operations, Senior OT Business Manager, and Senior Process Control Engineer. Bearq's expertise encompasses improving unit performance, providing technical support for automation projects, and optimizing raw material and energy usage. Prior to this, Bareq worked as a Process Control Engineer at Praxair, supporting multiple plants, and at Carbonfree Chemicals, focusing on process monitoring and quality control. Early career experiences include computer lab management at Dijlah University and serving as a Corrosion Engineer for a project with a refinery in Basra. Bareq holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Petroleum and Natural Gas Refining, from the University of Technology, Iraq, earned between 2008 and 2012.
