Cristina M. Acevedo

Cristina M. Acevedo, PhD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Starting their career at Milliken & Company in 2004, they worked as a Development Chemist, Sr R&D Chemist, and eventually became a Principal Scientist, leading and managing major projects. Cristina M. then moved to Milliken Chemical in 2010, where they served as a Research and Development Manager, overseeing multiple projects and implementing effective project management programs. In 2012, they were promoted to Global Product Line Manager, taking on global responsibilities for the largest product line in the Chemical Division, including strategic direction, product marketing, and market analysis.

In 2015, Acevedo transitioned to Milliken Healthcare Products, where they took on the role of Director of Product Development and Operations, responsible for leading a team in Quality/ Regulatory, Product Development, Clinical Evidence, and Operations in the Medical Device space. During their tenure, they played a key role in building the growth venture, now a division of the company. In 2019, they were promoted to Global Product Line Manager for Sport and Animal Health, focusing on strategy development for markets through pricing, product, and sales channel strategies.

Currently, Acevedo works at Ascend Performance Materials as a Business Director, utilizing their expertise and leadership skills to contribute to the company's success.

Cristina M. Acevedo, PhD, MBA completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University in 2004. Later, they pursued Business Market Strategy at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and completed their studies in 2014. Cristina M. then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2020.
