Lou Gerona

Lou Gerona has a comprehensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 1995 at Sun Chemical - North American Inks, Lou worked their way up from a Human Resources Assistant to a Regional Human Resources Manager, overseeing multiple manufacturing facilities. In 2007, they joined Nufarm Americas Inc. as the Human Resources & Organizational Development Manager and eventually became the VP of HR & Organizational Development for the NAFTA region. Finally, in 2015, Lou joined Ascend Performance Materials, where they held various roles, including Director of Human Resources for CHB Operations and Global Talent Management, Senior HR Director for Global Operations, Technology, Capital, and ESSH, and currently serves as the Senior HR Director for Global Human Resources, working on strategic projects and growth. Throughout their career, Lou has focused on driving cultural change, supporting employees, and managing significant fiduciary responsibilities.

Lou Gerona has a diverse education history. In 1990, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Canisius University. Following that, from 1995 to 1998, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Leadership, Administration, and Supervision from Montclair State University. In 2011, Gerona attended Loyola University Chicago for Executive Education, where they obtained a Mini-MBA. Additionally, they have various certifications, such as the Senior Professional Human Resources certification from HR Certification Institute and the Strategic Leadership Program from Texas A&M University - Mays Business School, among others.
