Jeanne Millis

Jeanne Millis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jeanne currently holds the position of SVP Finance and Regulatory Compliance at AscendantFX Capital Inc., a position they have held since May 2017. Prior to this, they were the Director and Audit Committee Chair at Manitoba Public Insurance from 2013 to 2016. Jeanne also had a long tenure at BDO Canada, where they were a Retired Partner from 1986 to 2014. Additionally, Jeanne Millis has held various leadership roles in organizations such as the Thomas Sill Foundation, Brandon and Area Community Foundation, Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Manitoba Smart Network, Docker Services Ltd., and the Brandon Family YMCA. Before their career in finance and business, they worked as a Lecturer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 1982 to 1985.

Jeanne Millis completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics and Philosophy at Albion College from 1975 to 1979. In 1977 to 1978, they also studied Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Sussex. Jeanne then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mathematics at the University at Albany, SUNY from 1979 to 1980. Later, they attended the Manitoba Institute of Chartered Accountants from 1986 to 1990 to become a Chartered Accountant, although no specific field of study is mentioned for this program.
