Andy Batchelor BSc (Hons) has extensive experience in helicopter operations and instruction, serving as a SAR Qualified Helicopter Crewman Instructor at Ascent Flight Training since January 2022. Prior roles include Senior Rearcrew Instructor and Technical Crew Manager at Draken Europe, and Helicopter Rearcrew Instructor at Cobham, where responsibilities encompassed training in helicopter crewman duties and SAR operations. With a foundational career in the Royal Air Force spanning 30 years, Andy Batchelor specialized in Search and Rescue as a radar and winch operator, in addition to holding instructor and evaluation officer roles.
