Neil Thomas

Neil Thomas is a qualified flight instructor at Ascent Flight Training, specializing in the Hawk T mk2 full-flight synthetic flight simulator since February 2021. Previously, Neil worked as an aviation specialist while seeking new opportunities from January 2020 to February 2021. From 2012 to 2019, Neil served as the head of training at Cranfield Aviation Training, a prominent organization accredited by the South African Civil Aviation Authority, providing essential recurrent training for flight crew members. Neil's experience also includes a role as aviation training manager at 1time Airlines from 2010 to 2012, and manager of the Part 141 Aviation Training Organization at the South African Civil Aviation Authority from 2005 to 2010, where responsibilities included compliance management, inspector training, and regulatory development. Neil holds a Bachelor's degree in Management from the University of South Africa and completed the aircrew instructors course at RAF Cranwell in 2021.
