Eric Shaw is an experienced outdoor guide and educator with a strong background in mountain and wilderness leadership. Currently serving as a Committed Guide at Colorado Mountain School and a Certified Rock Guide with the American Mountain Guides Association, Eric has held various guiding roles across multiple organizations since 2020. In addition to guiding, Eric is an Avalanche Instructor with the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education and has worked as an instructor and guide with the American Alpine Institute Ltd. Educational credentials include a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Hampshire College, complemented by a Certificate in Outdoor Leadership from Greenfield Community College.
