Stefano Pomati has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Stefano is currently the Director of Surgical Innovation at Asensus Surgical, where they lead the development of surgical instruments for the Senhance robotic platform. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Global Product Manager at the same company.
Before joining Asensus Surgical, Pomati worked at Sofar S.p.A., where they held various roles related to software and surgical instrumentation development for the Telelap ALF-X robotic system. Stefano also served as a Project Manager, focusing on the CE marking and industrial production of the system.
Pomati's earlier experience includes working as a Stagiere at Joint Research Centre and as a Student at Politecnico di Milano. Stefano also worked as a Software Developer at Fruit Control Equipments srl. Stefano Pomati earned a degree in Informatic Engineering, with a specialization in the Automatic and Industrial Automation sector, from Politecnico di Milano from 1995 to 2003. In 2003, they participated in the Summer European University in Surgical Robotics at LIRMM, CNRS – Université Montpellier II. Prior to their university education, Stefano attended Liceo Scientifico Salvador Allende from 1990 to 1995, where they focused on Science and Mathematics. Additionally, they obtained certifications at the PMC Level IV and PMC Level II from Pragmatic Institute in 2021.
