Gheorghe Popescu

Gheorghe Popescu is a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in backend development and microservices architecture. Currently at Aserto since September 2021, Gheorghe has contributed to tenant management and secrets management systems, focusing on transitioning from in-memory key-value stores to relational databases. Prior to Aserto, Gheorghe held roles at Puppet, where responsibilities included technical leadership and enhancements to the Puppet Agent and its dependencies, and at UnifiedPost, providing Ruby on Rails solutions. Gheorghe's career began with internships and roles in Ruby development, showcasing a strong foundation in software engineering principles, continuous integration, and community engagement. Gheorghe holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Universitatea Politehnica din Timişoara.
