Hatem Safwat

Hatem Safwat is a highly experienced finance professional and co-founder of Asfoura Books, focused on enhancing children's literature in Egyptian Arabic since August 2020. Previously, Hatem held the position of Head of Finance and Managing Director at Thndr, where responsibilities included establishing the finance department and overseeing various financial operations across Egypt and the UAE. Hatem has extensive background in corporate banking, serving as Associate Director at CIB Egypt, where services ranged from structuring credit facilities to analyzing financial statements. Additional experience includes roles at Arab African International Bank and the Central Bank of Egypt, contributing to credit risk analysis and banking sector oversight. Hatem holds a BSc in Management Technology, Finance, and Economics from The German University in Cairo.
