Mark Sayles, MD PhD has a wealth of experience in the medical field. In 2003, they began their career as a Teaching Assistant for Physiology and Histopathology at the University of Cambridge. Mark then became a Graduate Student Research Assistant and a Clinical Tutor for the Cambridge Graduate Program in Medicine. In 2009, they were a Surgical Resident for Head & Neck Oncology at the NHS. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Fulbright Scholar at the US-UK Fulbright Commission. Mark then went on to become a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at KU Leuven. In 2016, they were an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Medical Director, Oncology Global Clinical Development and Senior Medical Scientist / Associate Medical Director at Amgen. Currently, they are the Executive Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development at Harpoon Therapeutics, and will soon move to Asher Biotherapeutics in the same role.

Mark Sayles, MD PhD obtained their Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cambridge in 2009, their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge in 2008, their Master of Arts (MA) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2007, and their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2003. In addition, they obtained an Intermediate level - practical chinese certification from the Chinese Language Academy in December 2020.
