Angela Wagner

Angela Wagner, MSHR, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse range of work experience in human resources and administration roles. Angela is currently serving as the Vice President of Administration & Human Resources at Asheville Regional Airport, where they are responsible for implementing various HR and administration programs and policies to support the organization's mission and vision. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Administration & Human Resources at the same company.

From 2016 to 2022, Angela worked as the Human Resources Director at MedStream Anesthesia PLLC, where they managed all HR functions and provided guidance to managers on recruitment, performance management, and other HR matters. Angela also oversaw employee benefits administration.

Before that, Angela served as the Human Resources Director at ALLCARE CLINICAL ASSOCIATES P.A. from 2014 to 2016. Angela collaborated with the executive team and physician partners and was responsible for the overall administration and evaluation of the HR function. Additionally, they held the role of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) & Benefits Manager, where they managed the HR system and oversaw benefits administration.

Angela's previous experience includes roles at Mission Hospitals, where they worked as a Volunteer providing clerical and project assistance, and Appalachian State University, where they served as a Graduate Research Assistant.

Earlier in their career, Angela worked at Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI) in various roles such as Operations Director, Director of Web & IT Services, and System Administrator, Registrar & Webmaster. In these positions, they maintained the organization's website and event databases, provided technical support, and negotiated computer system and website upgrades.

Angela's work experience demonstrates their expertise in human resources management, administration, benefits administration, and HRIS management.

Angela Wagner holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resources (MSHR) from Western Carolina University which they obtained from 2010 until 2012. Angela also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German & International Relations from Lenoir-Rhyne University, which they earned from 1992 to 1996. Angela has pursued additional coursework in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Appalachian State University in 2009. Additionally, they completed their high school education at Asheville High School, receiving a High School Diploma in 1992. Angela Wagner is also a certified SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) obtained in May 2015 and holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, earned in 2014.
