Jim Plohg

Jim Plohg currently serves as Co-Chair of the School Partner Committee and Advisory Board Member for Brighter Children since November 2024. In addition, Jim Plohg is the General Counsel for the Texas Strategic Growth Fund at Ashford, a role held since August 2022, focusing on real estate development and management. As the Owner of Hospitality Professional Services, LLC, Jim Plohg has provided real estate management and consulting services since January 2021. Jim Plohg has held various senior legal positions at Ashford Inc. as Division General Counsel and Managing Director of M&A since June 2014, and previously served as COO, CCO, and General Counsel at MeehanCombs, LP until June 2014. Earlier experience includes roles at Smith Family Office and Alden Global Capital, Highland Capital Management, and Norton Rose Fulbright. Jim Plohg earned a JD from Baylor University School of Law in 2001 and holds a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University, completed in 1997.
