Robert Kaplan

Board Member at Ashland Food Co-op

Robert Kaplan is currently serving as an Ashland City Councilor and as a Board Member for the Ashland Food Co-op, with engagement in these roles since January 2023 and July 2022, respectively. Kaplan also holds the title of Recovering Vagabond, alongside previous roles as a Board Member at Semilla Nueva and OHRA. Formerly, Kaplan was President and CEO of the Inter-American Foundation from November 2010 to April 2017 and served as Chief Advisor to the Executive Vice-President at the Inter-American Development Bank from 2007 to 2010. Kaplan's earlier career includes leadership as Chief of the Environment and Natural Resources Management Division at the Inter American Development Bank from 1998 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration in Development Policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
