Li Zhang

Li Zhang is an accomplished leader in research and development, currently serving as Group Leader for Zeta Fraction™ Technology at Ashland since September 2015. Zhang has been instrumental in the commercialization of multiple sustainable natural ingredients, including Recentia™ and Harmoniance™, through innovative R&D efforts. Prior to Ashland, Zhang held the position of Sr. Principal Scientist at AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry LLC from January 2012 to August 2015, where contributions included developing advanced biological testing capabilities and advancing the Zeta Fraction™ products. Zhang's earlier experience at Johnson & Johnson as Principal Scientist involved overseeing drug and consumer product development, from early discovery stages through to FDA submissions. Zhang holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center College of Medicine and an MD from Peking University, School of Medicine.
