Gowri Shankar

Gowri Shankar is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive electrical and electronics domain, currently serving as Assistant General Manager at Ashok Leyland since July 2011. In this role, Gowri leads product development for commercial vehicle electrical systems, focusing on high and low voltage systems, power distribution, and advanced technologies such as battery electric and fuel cell vehicles, as well as ADAS and connected vehicles. Previous roles include Divisional Manager and Senior Manager for vehicle electrical and electronics at Ashok Leyland, along with managerial positions at MAHLE and Igarashi Motors, where Gowri specialized in electrical system design and development for a range of automotive applications.
