N Muthukumar, also known as Muthu, has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and homologation within the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Head of Regulatory Affairs and Product Homologation at Ashok Leyland since January 2020, Muthu previously held the position of AGM - Regulations & Homologation at the same company from September 2014 to June 2017, focusing on compliance for buses, trucks, and engines. Muthu's career includes a tenure as Sr. Group Lead - Certification and Regulations at General Motors Technical Centre, contributing to regulatory compliance for GM products in India. Earlier roles include Sr. Manager - Homologation at Ashok Leyland, Consultant - Homologation at BMW Group Middle East, and Engineer - Design & Development at San Engineering and Locomotives Co Ltd. Muthu obtained a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, between 2010 and 2012.
