Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as General Manager at HEKA Electronics Inc. in 2000. In 2012, they moved to Resolution Optics Inc. as the VP of Business Development & Marketing, where they shifted the mindset and operations from an academic researched-based company to one with a specific industrial product. In 2013, they became the CEO of 4Deep inwater imaging, producing submersible microscopes to monitor water quality in any body of water. In 2020, they began working at Focal Healthcare as the Senior Vice President Business Development, where they were dedicated to improving the physician and patient experience from prostate cancer diagnosis to treatment. That same year, they became the Chief Business Development Officer at Ashored Innovations. Most recently, in 2021, they joined the CDL-Atlantic, Oceans, 2021/22 Cohort at Creative Destruction Lab.

Stephen Jones received their Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dalhousie University between 1986 and 1990. Stephen then went on to receive their Ph.D. in Physiology & Biophysics from the same university between 1996 and 2000. Finally, they earned an Executive Master of Business Administration in Global Finance & Entrepreneurship from the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University between 2011 and 2013.
