James Christie

James Christie has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to mechanical solutions, project management, and supervision in the offshore industry. James is currently the Regional Director APAC and Head of Mechanical Solutions at Ashtead Technology, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Director at Ashtead Technology from May 2019 to October 2022. Before joining Ashtead Technology, James served as the Regional Director AsiaPac at Subsea 7 /i-Tech Services from August 2016 to April 2019. James also gained experience at Subsea 7, where they held roles such as ROV Operations Manager from June 2014 to August 2016, ROV Vessel Project Manager from September 2012 to June 2014, and ROV Supervisor from March 2012 to September 2012. Additionally, they worked as an Offshore Project Manager on a freelance basis at FUGRO TSM from November 2011 to March 2012. James started their career in the industry as a ROV Supervisor and Superintendent, working both independently and as a freelancer from 1999 to 2012. James also held the position of Supervisor at a freelance capacity from 1999 to 2010. Prior to entering the offshore industry, they worked as the Fibre Optic Manager at Brisbane City Works from 2003 to 2005.

From 2014 to 2016, James Christie pursued a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration (Oil & Gas) at Curtin University.
