Anna Oposa

Anna Oposa is a notable expert in marine conservation and circular economy, currently serving as a Marine Conservation and Circular Economy Specialist at the Asian Development Bank since February 2023. Oposa has extensive experience dating back to 2011 as the Executive Director and Chief Mermaid at Save Philippine Seas, where significant initiatives include the Reimagine Recycling project, the founding of the Haquathon for technological solutions in marine conservation, and the establishment of the SEA Camp for environmental education. Previous roles encompass various positions at the Asian Development Bank, including Partnership and Engagement Specialist focused on Ocean Health, and contributions to UNDP Philippines in circular economy and waste management research.
