Atom Janjughazyan

Board Member at Asian Development Bank

Atom Janjughazyan is currently the Governor at the Asian Development Bank. Prior to this, they served as the Governor of the Republic of Armenia in the Board of Governors at the World Bank Group from May 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for the management and coordination of relationships between the Republic of Armenia and the WB.

From September 2007 to September 2011, Janjughazyan was a lecturer at the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia (PAARA). In this role, they taught a course for master's degree students on public finance management. Atom also served as a lecturer at Armenian State University of Economics from February 2007 to July 2009, where they taught a course for bachelor's degree students on public finance management.

Janjughazyan has also served as the Chair or Member of various Steering Committees and State Commissions, as well as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia from August 1995 to August 2021. Additionally, they were a member of the Management Board at State Engineering University of Armenia from November 2005 to May 2018.

Atom Janjughazyan has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Social and Economic System Management from State Engineering University of Armenia, a Master of Science - MS in Computer Science from State Engineering University of Armenia, and an Engineer's degree in Information Technology Engineering from State Engineering University of Armenia.
