Juan Gonzalez

Juan Gonzalez is a seasoned transport specialist with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Transport Specialist at the Asian Development Bank since November 2016, Juan administers loans and grants while coordinating with government entities and development partners. Prior roles include Transport Specialist and Young Professional at ADB, focusing on enhancing transport operations and climate finance initiatives. Between August 2011 and September 2016, Juan worked at INECO in Muscat as a Transport Planner, contributing to the Long Term Bus Transport Master Plan. Earlier experience includes consulting on various transport projects and a research assistant position at the University of Granada. Juan holds degrees from prestigious institutions, including an MSc in Transport and Business Management from Imperial College London and a civil engineering degree from Universidad de Granada. Additionally, Juan completed a Sustainable Finance Executive Program at the University of Oxford in September 2023.
