Yang Chen

Yang Chen is a Senior Transport Specialist at The World Bank, with extensive experience in urban transport and clean energy initiatives. In addition to current roles, past positions include Urban Transport Specialist at The World Bank, Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford University's Precourt Energy Efficiency Center, and Research Assistant at MIT for the "Clean Energy City" Project. Notable contributions include drafting a background paper for the World Development Report on China's urban agglomeration policy and designing and conducting a Bicycle User Survey in Fushun, China. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from MIT, a Master’s in Urban Planning and Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s in Urban and Rural Planning from Peking University.
