Keiju Mitsuhashi is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Energy at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) since July 2009, focusing on promoting energy transition in the Pacific and Southeast Asia. Previous roles at ADB include Deputy Country Director and Principal Planning and Policy Economist, where responsibilities encompassed operations planning and managing various frameworks and metrics. Additionally, Keiju served as a Senior Energy Specialist, overseeing energy projects in Uzbekistan, and as an Energy Specialist in Central and West Asia. Prior to ADB, Keiju held representative positions at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, managing portfolios and operations for multiple countries. Keiju began professional contributions at the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, focusing on Africa. Keiju earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Sussex from 1999 to 2004.
