Nasheeba Selim

Nasheeba Selim is an experienced Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) since September 2013, overseeing a portfolio that includes over 35 projects in Bangladesh worth more than US $5.5 billion and numerous technical assistance projects. Previously, Nasheeba managed GESI initiatives in the South Asia Department, focusing on projects in public management and financial sectors totaling over US $1.7 billion. A short-term assignment in the Gender Equality Division involved managing a regional technical assistance initiative promoting gender equality across various Asian regions. Prior to ADB, Nasheeba held significant roles at UNDP and BRAC, driving policy development, human rights advocacy, and women's empowerment programs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Gender and Social Development Studies from Dalhousie University and a Master of Arts in Development Economics and International Development from McGill University.
