Oshean Lee Garonita is currently employed as a Geospatial Data Scientist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) since June 2023, contributing to the TA 6721 Project focused on machine learning for road quality assessment. Prior experience includes a role as a Geospatial Analyst at Thinking Machines Data Science, where geospatial data platforms were designed for diverse clients, and as a GIS Officer at Haribon Foundation, enhancing conservation efforts through Geographic Information Science. Oshean also worked as a Researcher and National Consultant for the World Agroforestry Centre, assisting local government units in developing Comprehensive Land Use Plans, and served as a Planning Officer II and I at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, addressing urban and regional strategies. Additional engagements include being a Conference Ambassador and Delegate for the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations and contributing as a GIS Consultant at the REID Foundation. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning and a BS in Human Ecology from the University of the Philippines, along with ongoing studies in French.
