Xiaohong Yang

Chief Thematic Officer, Thematic Advisory Service Cluster at Asian Development Bank

Xiaohong Yang is the current Chief Thematic Officer of the Thematic Advisory Service Cluster at the Asian Development Bank. Xiaohong has previous experience working as a financial specialist at the World Bank from January 1994 to December 1998. During their time at the World Bank, they managed many infrastructure projects and technical assistance projects, and gained skills in project cost estimates, financial and economic appraisals, procurement, safeguards, and project design and implementation.

Xiaohong Yang's educational career includes obtaining a postgraduate master's degree in development economics from Peking University, a bachelor's degree in international finance from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (St. John's University), and a developing manager certification from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Xiaohong also has a certification from the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Certified Public Accountant.

Xiaohong Yang reports to Bruno Carrasco, Director General concurrently Chief Compliance Officer. Xiaohong Yang works with Bruce Dunn - Director, Safeguards Division, Jacob Sorensen - Director, Partner Funds Division, and Thomas Abell - Advisor & Chief, Digital Technology for Development Unit.
