David Newns

David Newns currently serves as the Chairman of the Board at AsiaNext, a digital exchange designed for institutional trading of digital assets, since October 2023. In addition, Newns holds the position of Head of SIX Digital Exchange, where the focus is on building a regulated digital market infrastructure. Prior to these roles, Newns was with State Street from August 2006 to October 2021, serving as the Global Head of Global Link Execution Services, as well as holding key positions such as Global Head of Currenex and Chief Operating Officer of eExchange. Newns began their career at Microstrategy as eBusiness Development Manager from 1996 to 2000 and holds a degree in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Cambridge.
