Graham Jefferson has a diverse and extensive work experience in technology law and advisory roles. Graham is currently working at ASIC as a Digital and Legal Transformation Lead. Prior to that, they served as an Advisory Board Member at 1WordFlow. In 2020, they joined Commonwealth Bank where they held the positions of Policy Advisor - Artificial Intelligence and General Manager and Head of Technology Legal. Before that, they served as the CEO of NTT Cloud Infrastructure Services at NTT Ltd. and as the Chief Legal Officer of Group Services at Dimension Data. Graham also has experience working as a technology lawyer at AdventBalance, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd), and as a solicitor at Ward Keller. Throughout their career, Graham has demonstrated their passion for technology law, ethics of AI, responsible technology, and the intersections of law and technology.
Graham Jefferson completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) degree at The Australian National University from 1983 to 1989. Graham also earned a BSc in Computer Science from the same university between 1983 and 1986. In 2010, they obtained a Mediation Accreditation from the Singapore Mediation Centre, specializing in mediation. In 2018, Graham Jefferson completed a Company Director's course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
