Kathy is ASIC’s Deputy General Counsel. In this role, she assists ASIC’s General Counsel in leading the Chief Legal Office, with a focus on advising on complex regulatory matters, law reform and new areas of regulatory responsibility for ASIC. Kathy has more than 20 years of legal and regulatory experience in a variety of senior roles at ASIC, including in mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, financial services, and markets regulation. Before joining ASIC, Kathy was a Perth-based solicitor with a national law firm. Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University (Canada) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Australia.
