John R Matherson

John R Matherson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in security systems and technology operations. Currently an Active Member of the Project Management Institute since July 2013 and ASIS International since August 2011, Matherson has held various leadership roles at New York University, including Associate Vice President for Global Campus Safety, Security Systems and Technical Operations, and Associate Vice Chancellor at New York University Abu Dhabi. Prior experience includes significant positions at The University of Chicago and Old Dominion University, along with an earlier tenure at NC A&T State University as Manager of the Aggie OneCard Center. Matherson holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
