Barbara Verdugo Snuggs, CPA

Barbara Verdugo Snuggs, CPA, has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Barbara is currently the Director of Finance and Administration at ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2022, they served as the Director of Finance and Administration at Strategic Risk Associates. During this time, they also held the role of Controller from 2018 to 2019.

Barbara has also worked as a self-employed Accountant since February 2005, providing bookkeeping and accounting services to small companies. Their responsibilities included setting up company accounting records, cleaning up accounting records, and preparing clients for tax returns, audits, and special projects. Barbara successfully built their business through word-of-mouth referrals, thanks to their high-quality service and reasonable fees.

Before their self-employment, Barbara served as the Director of Finance at Riverside School from 2016 to 2018 and as the Vice President - Controller at First Capital Bank from 2013 to 2016.

Barbara began their career at Deloitte in 1987, where they worked as a Senior Manager until 2000. Barbara supervised auditors, oversaw financial audits, and developed and managed client relationships, ensuring the delivery of audit reports and audited financial statements in accordance with client expectations.

Barbara Verdugo Snuggs, CPA obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 1986. Barbara also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, obtained from the VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy in May 2019.
