Tom Carter

Tom Carter has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tom is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at askporter since December 2020. Prior to this, they held the same position at Ostmodern from October 2018 to December 2020, where they were responsible for technology teams and the development of video services. At Ostmodern, their focus was on enhancing the delivery and operation of projects, defining a technology target state architecture and strategic roadmap, standardizing the use of AWS, and transitioning to a container-first and microservice architecture.

Before joining Ostmodern, Tom worked as the Director of Advanced Systems Architecture at Inmarsat from December 2016 to October 2018. Tom also served as the Information & Systems Director at Drayson Technologies LTD from May 2015 to November 2016.

Tom's earlier work experience includes roles as a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting Group from April 2006 to May 2015, a Senior Consultant at Detica from October 2004 to March 2006, a Senior Developer at PwC from August 2002 to April 2004, and a Developer at IBM from September 1998 to April 2002.

Tom Carter attended the University of Warwick from 1999 to 2002, during which they did not earn a degree or specialize in any particular field of study.
