John Canaday has over 18 years of experience in marketing and brand consulting in the entertainment industry. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Marketing at ASM Global, where they are responsible for building and strengthening the company's centralized marketing systems. Prior to this, John founded Track 18, LLC and worked as the Vice President of Brand Consulting at Elevate Sports Ventures. John also has experience in venue marketing, having served as the Vice President of Venue Marketing at Live Nation Entertainment, where they oversaw marketing strategy for 87 Live Nation clubs and theaters. John has also worked as a Marketing Consultant for Pat Hughes, the radio voice of the Chicago Cubs, and as the Director of Sports & Entertainment at GMR Marketing. In addition, they have experience in music branding and publishing as the Vice President of Sports Marketing at Banshee Music. John began their career as a Talent Manager for a local rock band, U-Phonik, and later worked as an Account Executive in the Sports Group at GMR Marketing. John also gained valuable experience as a Football Operations Intern with the Cleveland Browns. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in partnership ideation, strategy development, project management, and team leadership.
John Canaday completed their Bachelor of Science in Finance at Indiana University Bloomington from 1997 to 2001. John continued their education at Ohio University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from 2002 to 2004. During their time at Ohio University, they concurrently pursued a Master of Sports Administration alongside their MBA. Additionally, in 2000, John participated in a study abroad program focused on International Business at Maastricht University, but they did not receive a specific degree from this program.
