Security Manager - Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at ASM Global

Madonna Pinna's work experience includes a role as a Security Manager at ASM Global's Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre starting in 2022. Madonna also held a similar position as a Security Manager at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre during the same period.

Prior to that, Madonna worked at the Brisbane Showgrounds from 2020 to 2022, where they served as a Venue, Precinct & Event Security Operations Manager & Carparks Manager. This role involved managing and improving all aspects of five public carparks within the precinct, overseeing automated payment systems, maintenance, emergency repairs, appearance, budget, revenue, marketing, correspondence, leasing, CCTV, customer safety, and satisfaction. Madonna also had leadership responsibilities for parking staff, including recruitment, training, performance reviews, mentoring, rostering, shift authorizations, and leave management.

Before joining the Brisbane Showgrounds, Madonna worked at the Queensland Police Service from 2004 to 2020. Their roles included Major Events Planning Manager, where they planned, coordinated, and managed the onsite safety and security of events at various venues and large-scale parades in Brisbane City. Madonna also had international event experience, including the Liverpool Football Club Tour, G20 Summit Brisbane, and the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where they were part of the QPS Command Management team. Madonna's responsibilities included event planning to mitigate risks and development of strategic plans for events involving large numbers of patrons.

Earlier in their career, Madonna worked as a General Duties Police Officer, Relieving Team Supervisor, and Assistant Venue Manager/Relieving Venue Manager at Lang Park PCYC, as well as a General Duties Police Officer, gaining experience in various policing duties and rotations in different departments.

Prior to their career in law enforcement, Madonna worked at Pinpoint Painters & Decorators from 1997 to 2020 as an Office & Administration Manager/Business Partner.

Overall, Madonna Pinna has extensive experience in security management, event planning, venue operations, and law enforcement.

Madonna Pinna has a diverse education history. In 2003, they obtained a Diploma of Justice Administration with a focus on criminal justice and law enforcement administration from TAFE Queensland. In 2005, they completed a Certificate III in Security Operations with a specialization in policing from Charles Sturt University. Madonna also completed various certificates in business administration, management and operations, as well as hospitality from TAFE Queensland in 1993.

Additionally, Madonna pursued further education in the field of public safety. Madonna obtained a Diploma of Public Safety from Charles Sturt University in 2006. Madonna also engaged in management studies in policing and legal studies in policing from the Queensland Government, completing them in 2018 and 2016 respectively. Madonna further enhanced their skills and knowledge in managing government projects by obtaining a Certificate II in Managing Government Projects (Advanced) and a Certificate I in Managing Government Projects (Basic) from a government organization in 2013.

Madonna has also acquired several additional certifications. Madonna obtained their Fire Safety Advisor certification from Fire and Safety Australia Pty Ltd in March 2023. Madonna obtained their Full Covid-19 Vaccination from Queensland Health in July 2021. Madonna is certified in providing responsible service of alcohol by Clear To Work since December 2020. Madonna holds a Security Guard and Patrol Licensee certification granted by the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training since August 2020. Madonna also possesses a LR & C drivers license from the Department of Transport and Main Roads obtained in January 1994. Madonna is trained in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, rescue from a live LV panel, and tactical first aid, as indicated by certifications obtained from First Aid Accident & Emergency and the Queensland Police Service.
