Doug Downey

Doug Downey has extensive experience in engineering and management, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin. Downey has been with ASM since April 2011, serving in multiple roles including Senior Manager of TQM, Principal Engineer in Supplier Development Engineering, and Senior Business Development Manager. Prior experience includes significant positions at STMicroelectronics from March 1998 to April 2011 as a Senior Engineering Manager, and at AMD from 1994 to 1998 as a Member of Technical Staff. Downey's earlier roles include Field Process Development Engineer at Novellus Systems and Senior Engineer at SEMATECH, with an IBM assignment that contributed to the SEMATECH role. Additionally, Downey worked as a Senior Engineer at IBM from 1988 to 1992.
