David Soukup is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering education and governance. Serving as Managing Director at ASME since October 1988, David has overseen various initiatives focused on corporate governance, ethics, and professional licensure. In addition to managing significant budgets and leading diverse teams, David has been responsible for major fundraising efforts, significantly increasing international membership. As an Adjunct Professor at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering, David teaches advanced courses in areas including computer simulation and project management. David's career also includes roles at the Institute of Industrial Engineers and Tau Beta Pi, where successful marketing and fundraising strategies were implemented. David holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona.
