Nicole Dyess has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to technical content creation, project management, and sustainability. Nicole is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Student & Early Career Development at ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Prior to their current position, they worked as the Principal of Nicole Kaufman Dyess LLC, where they provided services such as creating technical content, research & analysis, and leadership coaching. Nicole also worked as the Director of Client Solutions at ValuD Consulting and as a Sustainability Consultant at the City of Raleigh Municipal Government. Additionally, Nicole served as the ARRA Program Manager at the NC Dept. of Commerce, where they managed funds for increasing energy efficiency. Nicole has also worked at the NC Utility Commission Public Staff and Advanced Energy Corp. in engineering roles. Throughout their career, Nicole has demonstrated expertise in project management, proposal development, and environmental sustainability.

Nicole Dyess has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2003.
