Scarlett Miller is the Paul Morrow Professor of Engineering Design and Manufacturing at Penn State University, where Scarlett has served since August 2011. In addition to her role as Director of the Center for Research in Design and Innovation, Miller is also the Director and Founder of the Brite Lab, focusing on bridging research in innovation, technology, and engineering. Other academic roles include Special Advisor to the Senior Vice President for Research, Administrative Fellow to the Executive Vice President and Provost, and leadership positions in the Engineering Design Program. Miller's experience extends to the corporate sector as CEO and Co-Founder of Medulate, which provides medical education simulators. Educational credentials include a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MS from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BS in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from the same institution. Miller's leadership is further recognized through involvement with the ASME Design Engineering Division and prestigious fellowship programs.
