Steve Ferguson

Steve Ferguson has a diverse work experience. Steve is currently serving as the Director of Research at ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at ASHRAE for a significant period of time, starting in 2005. Steve'sroles at ASHRAE included being the Senior Manager of Standards, where they were responsible for the development of all ASHRAE Standards and Guidelines, as well as overseeing interactions in model code and international standards development. Steve also served as the Manager of Codes, where they acted as a staff liaison to various committees and represented ASHRAE at national model code development hearings. Before joining ASHRAE, Steve worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University from August 2002 to August 2004.

Steve Ferguson earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Engineering from Vanderbilt University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Westminster and obtained a High School Diploma from 1992 to 1998.
