Jayabal Shanmugam

Jayabal Shanmugam is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in information management and data engineering. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Aspen Aerogels since February 2023, Jayabal previously spent nearly a decade at Global Atlantic Financial Group, where accomplishments included establishing an Enterprise Data Strategy, implementing advanced data governance measures, and enhancing business insights through innovative technology solutions. Prior roles at Goldman Sachs and other firms involved significant contributions to IT integration, data platform development, and operational efficiencies. Jayabal holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic / Information Technology from the University of Madras, along with a Post Graduate Diploma and Master's in Operation Management and a Diploma in Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
