Timothy Smith has extensive work experience in the field of intellectual property law. Timothy is currently serving as the Vice President of Intellectual Property at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc., a position they have held since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Principal at the Law Office of Timothy L Smith, JD, PhD from September 2019 to April 2022.

Timothy holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Timothy further pursued their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In addition to their academic achievements, Timothy Smith has also obtained certifications in aviation and law. Timothy is a Commercial Instrument Pilot certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) since August 2014. Furthermore, they hold the title of Patent Attorney, accredited by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
