Sophia Xu

Sophia Xu is currently the VP of Corporate Development at Aspen Technology. Sophia has over 20 years of experience in M&A and strategic planning.

Sophia started their career at JP Morgan in 1998 as a Vice President in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions group. Sophia then moved to Verizon Communications in 2005, where they held various positions in Strategy, Development & Planning, and Product Innovation and New Businesses. In 2018, they joined Progress as VP of Corporate Development, where they successfully sourced the acquisitions of Ipswitch and Chef.

In October 2020, Sophia became a Strategic Advisor at Global App Testing. Sophia is currently based in Boston, MA.

Sophia Xu has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in Finance and Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Math from Mount Holyoke College.
