Carter Alleman, JD, CAE has a diverse work experience background. Starting in 2007, they interned at various political offices, including the Ohio Senate and U.S. House. In 2010, they gained legal experience as a law clerk and legal extern for Judge Diane Kavadias-Schneider and Judge Kathleen Lang, respectively. From 2011 to 2012, Carter worked as a contract attorney for Law Counsel Staffing and later as a regulatory counsel for Stateside Associates. In 2015, they joined the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons as a Manager of Health Policy, where they monitored legislative and regulatory issues relevant to osteopathic surgery. Carter then advanced to roles such as Associate Director of Health Policy and Associate Director of Health Policy & ACOS-PAC, where they not only continued their policy work but also developed advocacy plans and managed budgets. In 2022, they moved to the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) as the Director of Government Affairs & Science Policy.
Carter Alleman, JD, CAE completed their education in a chronological manner. Carter obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Following this, from 2008 to 2011, Carter attended Valparaiso University School of Law, where they earned a Juris Doctorate. During the same period, they also pursued a Master of Science degree in International Commerce and Policy from Valparaiso University.
In addition to their educational achievements, Carter Alleman has obtained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in August 2020.
